At Kokoro Mio, a luxury hotel in Quintana Roo, we offer a range of cabanas designed to provide ultimate comfort and relaxation. Each room has modern amenities and stunning views to ensure a memorable stay. Although our hotel is located in the lush jungle, we do have a Lagoon Club on the Lagoon of Seven Blues at Xul-Ha, that is a 20 minute walk or 5 minute car ride. At our Club you will have access to a private area with pier and bar amenities. Kokoro Mio Hotel is a 20 minute drive from Bacalar or a relaxing train ride on Tren Maya from Cancun and Tulum.
Founded by Tatiana and Ingrid, cousins born and raised in Mexico, Kokoro Mio was designed and built with the prime focus on natural beauty and reverence of culture. Surrounded by jungle, our cabanas blend in with the natural flora and a short trip to the Lagoon will astonish visitors with the 7 shades of blue caused by the varying depths of the Xul-Ha Cenote.
Along with the original cousins, many family and friends have joined the team here at Kokoro Mio. We are proud to have an international team of all Star employees who are dedicated to help you enjoy your stay.
Master Chef Juan Francisco Arias, originally from Venezuela, specializes in Fusion Gastronomy. Inspired by local traditions and our Abuela, Mami Cuy's recipes, Chef Arias has elevated Mayan/Mexican Fusion to the next level. Juan relies on his 24 years as a Master Chef to create amazing dishes and tantalize guests' palates at our signature restaurant.
We have dozens of amenities to offer, in fact, so many they need their own website. Please click on the button to access the site dedicated to all the information you need for our amazing spa services.
The hotel's location in the jungle, as well as the Lagoon Front Club, can accommodate many different options. From an intimate wedding to an all-out extravaganza, we are here to make your dreams come true.

There are many flights that travel to the Yucatan area of Mexico. The most direct flight path is to Chetumal (CTM), usually requiring a transfer along the way through Mexico City. The Chetumal Aairport is a short 15 mins from the hotel. We can arrange the airport transfer or you can rent a car (preferably arranged in advance).
Now, with the implementation of the Tren Maya (Mayan Train) you can access Chetumal from Cancun, Tulum Airport, Tulum City and Bacalar as well as many other cities along the Tren Maya route. Please check the Tren Maya Schedule here TREN MAYA
The best thing to remember is that you are travelling to a jungle environment. In order for the plants to thrive, they require plenty of rain. Although many times we will enjoy days of sunshine, there are fleeting showers that cleanse and revitalize the area. Plan on the weather changing daily and always remember that you are visiting an area that is dependent on the climate, not only for the cenotes but also the rich flora of the area.
The private Lagoon Club is just 1.3 kilometers (less than a mile) from the hotel and can be accessed on foot in 20 minutes, by bicycle in 10 minutes (provided at the hotel), or by car in 5 minutes. We can arrange transportation, picnic baskets, and drinks so you can spend an entire day relaxing by the lagoon.
Currently, we do not accommodate children at the hotel. Please take this opportunity to enjoy your stay with your significant other and/or friends, as we are confident your children will enjoy their extended stay with their grandparents at home. We do offer a 2 bedroom Villa that can accommodate a family with children that is next door to the hotel, but unfortunately, we are unable to share the hotel amenities with this accommodation.
Don't hesitate to get in touch with our reception to request a furry companion. To ensure the safety of our guests and workers we must ask a few questions first.
